For applications where the sill will be applied to the bottom of the frame, this preperation will mill 3/4" from the ends of the sill, add 3 end holes and 1-2 center holes (depending on width).
*Sill is net 1-1/2" over door size (ex. 36" door would receive 37 1/2" sill)
Hole Punching & Drilling

Trim Notching
Removal of the front portion of a sill to allow door trim to run all the way to the bottom of the sill.
U-Notching
Also known as a "Timely Notch," removal of a U-shaped notch from the sill or threshold to allow it to fit around the stop portion of the frame.
Flat Floor Rip
In conditions where the sill will be used on an interior wall where floor height is the same on both sides of the wall, this preparation removes the front leg of the sill.
Wood Block Preps
Pressure-treated wood end blocking to allow the nailing of the sill to the frame.
Door Shoe Notching
Removal of 1/2" of just the drip cap or the drip cap and front of the door shoe.
Weep Holes
Provides a drain for water that builds up in the door shoe on a door in direct exposure to the elements.
